How will the weather be?
Understandably, one inquires about the weather before going on vacation. However, many weather apps seem to be pessimists.

We recommend the official weather site of the Hydrographic Office Bolzano, which provides relatively reliable forecasts: https://wetter.provinz.bz.it/.

Are pets allowed in the hotel, and are there special conditions for them? 
Your dog is certainly welcome to spend the holiday with you. We charge a daily rate for special cleaning, etc. (excluding food) of €14.00 (up to 12 kg), €18.00 (12-25 kg), and €25.00 (25-35 kg) per dog per day. Please understand that dogs are not allowed in the dining room and on the terrace during meal times, nor in the bathing and wellness areas of the Golserhof. Other pets are not allowed.

Are children and teenagers welcome?
Children are welcome here as we are a place for all generations. However, the Golserhof does not have a playroom, only a swing and a ping-pong table outside. Our village has a very nice playground and many interesting themed trails.

How can I reserve a room and what payment methods are accepted?
You can make the payment in cash, by credit card (VISA or Mastercard), or EC card.

Can I cancel or change my booking, and are there cancellation fees?
From the 28th day before arrival, 70% of the agreed half-board price will be charged in any case (or 90% of the agreed price for bed and breakfast or 100% if only accommodation was booked). This applies to late arrivals, early departures, changes or rebookings of the stay, and no-shows regardless of the reason. The cancellation conditions apply regardless of whether the canceled rooms are partially or fully re-booked.

What can we do if it rains?
In the Merano region, there is a huge variety of sights for many interests. Upon your arrival, you will receive an information booklet, and we are happy to advise you at the reception.

Are there shopping opportunities nearby?
Dorf Tirol has a nice selection of shops, and Merano is only a 10-minute drive away. The old town of Merano invites you to stroll and shop: beautiful stores, cafes, and restaurants. Every Friday, a large market takes place in Merano.

Are there hiking routes or bike paths near the hotel?
The hotel is an ideal starting point for hikes or bike tours. Various hiking and biking routes can be reached directly from the hotel.

What are the difficulty levels of the hiking routes in the area?
In Dorf Tirol, we have easy walking paths (e.g., the Falknerpromenade, the Tappeinerweg), leisurely hiking trails (e.g., Apfelweg, Weinweg, Waldweg, Panoramaweg, Herrschaftsweg, Kulturweg), and high alpine hiking trails (e.g., Meraner Höhenweg around the Texelgruppe Nature Park, Spronser Lakes tours, Mutspitze).

Are guided hikes available?
The Hotel Golserhof offers 4 guided tours per week (Monday-Thursday). Additionally, the local tourist association offers a sunrise hike, a dusk hike, a stalking walk with hunters, and many other highlights.

Does the hotel offer rental bikes or other equipment for outdoor activities?
The hotel offers e-bike rentals (for a small fee) and mountain bike rentals (free of charge). It also provides free rental of hiking equipment, such as hiking backpacks, aluminum water bottles, hiking poles, etc.

How can I get tips for bike tours?
We have a special bike tour map with the 30 most interesting tours in the area. You can get it at the reception.

Is there a storage area for bicycles?
Our guests benefit from our secure, covered bicycle storage area. It is on the ground level, and there are sockets available for e-bikes.

Does the hotel offer wine tastings?
A wine tasting takes place weekly at the Golserhof. Additionally, tastings and cellar tours are offered in the vinotheques in Dorf Tirol and in the wineries in the surrounding area.

Are there opportunities for horseback riding nearby?
There are several riding stables in the Merano region.

How can I get climbing equipment?
In Dorf Tirol, at "Tirol Sport," climbing equipment can be rented.

Can I fish near the hotel?
There are several opportunities to acquire a day ticket with a license. Additionally, there are ponds where you can fish with a day ticket without a license.

Is there a restaurant and bar in the hotel and what kind of cuisine is offered?
Yes, the hotel has its own bar and a restaurant.
The Golserhof cuisine is considered a culinary meeting point: South Tyrol, Italy, and the whole world. The best ingredients grow practically on our doorstep. From these, the Golserhof kitchen team creates the finest dishes with great sensitivity: inspired by the local area, with a Mediterranean touch, and reinterpreted.
 

Can special dietary or nutritional requirements be accommodated?
The hotel's restaurant offers daily menus for meat and fish lovers, as well as for vegetarians. For vegans, we recommend booking with bed and breakfast. The menu can be selected from our vegan à la carte menu. Guests with allergies (celiac disease, lactose intolerance, histamine intolerance, etc.) can choose their meals from our daily menu or à la carte menu. Our service and kitchen team will be happy to assist you. For special dietary requirements, please inform us when booking.
 

Are there special menus for vegans?
If you follow a vegan diet, you can book including breakfast and then choose your menu each morning from our "vegan à la carte menu."

What wellness facilities does the hotel have (e.g., spa, sauna, pool)?
The hotel has an indoor pool with massage jets (31°C), a heated panorama pool (26-28°C) (open March-October depending on the weather), and a rooftop terrace with several hot whirlpools and individual niches (access from 14 years). Our wellness area "Realm of the Senses" covers about 400m2 and includes a Finnish sauna, bio sauna, steam bath & infrared cabin with saline (access from 14 years). There is also an outdoor sauna area with a plunge pool & hot whirlpool, 2 relaxation rooms "Chillout" & "Deep Silence".

Are there parking facilities at the hotel and are they free?
One underground garage parking space for one car (maximum height 2.30m) per room is free, an additional car parking space is available on request for €10.00 per day.

Is there Wi-Fi in the hotel and is it free?
Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
 

Are there options for special sleeping habits and needs?
If needed, we can provide the following free of charge: allergy pillows and comforters, neck roll, neck support pillow, softer/harder mattress topper. Upon request, we can also bring one of six different organic herbal pillows to your room (rental fee €5 per pillow). The herbs in the fillings come from the Alpine region and are organically grown.

How do I get from Merano train station to the hotel?
We reward your contribution to environmentally friendly travel by organizing a free transfer from/to Merano train station (for stays of 7 days or more).
For stays of less than 7 days, we can organize a taxi transfer from Merano train station to the hotel (approx. €20.00) upon request.
Please inform us of your exact arrival time and your mobile number before your arrival so that our pick-up service can include you in their schedule on time.

How do I get from Bolzano airport to the hotel?
The Dorf Tirol Tourist Association rewards your contribution to environmentally friendly travel by organizing a free transfer from/to Bolzano airport.
Please inform us of your exact arrival time at the airport and your mobile number before your arrival so that the pick-up service can include you in their schedule on time. We will book the transfer to Golserhof for you with the Tourist Association.

Do I need a car in the Merano region?
The bus and train system is well-developed. With the South Tyrol Guest Pass worth €65 (included for all guests at Golserhof), our guests can use all buses and trains in South Tyrol for free.
Additionally, excursions and sightseeing tours with a minibus are offered from Dorf Tirol.
